Welll… the table setting was ready but it was a busy weekend and the photos took longer than expected to edit.
After the very vibrant Memorial Day table I wanted something a bit simpler for July 4th. I had sort of planned on only doing an outdoor table (you’ll see that below) but decided since I couldn’t leave everything outside after photographing it I wanted to do both indoor and outdoor.
I hope you had a wonderful Independence Day weekend. I was fortunate to get Friday off as well and a long weekend is always great. I seem to get so much more done.
I really like these chicken wire chargers but they’re definitely a unique style and don’t always work when I think they will. I use a felt plate protector under them so they don’t scratch the table.
I got the plaid chargers from Pier 1, no link because they’re going out of business and this pattern is now sold out.
The white plates are by Alex Liddy. I got the original set of four place settings from Home Goods but have added to it thanks to Replacements.com. The brownish ceramic looking plates are actually melamine from a local kitchen store a few years ago.
The napkins (in the glasses from Goodwill) were my Grandmother’s and the adorable bicycle napkin rings were from Pier 1 last year.
The outside table was set for either breakfast or afternoon tea. The smaller table wasn’t able to accommodate the chargers so I just simplified things a bit.
The fragrance of the Casa Blanca Lilies and the gorgeous jasmine was amazing! It’s wonderful that my office window is above where the jasmine is planted, during the day the smell will waft it’s way up here while I’m working. So lovely.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I hope you’re having a great day!
